Feeding Belfast livestock
Redler, the bulk materials handling specialist, is to undertake the mechanical and electrical design and construction elements of a new 75,000 tonne animal feed store planned to be built within the port of Belfast.
VECON LPNR and CNR systems will be installed on the six berths at the Busan New Port North Container Terminal, whilst in Hong Kong AVT will provide the River Trade Terminal, which caters for trade with the Pearl River region, with a ‘Gate-Out Processing Automation solution’ by installing VECON-CON on 5 out-lanes at the terminal.
Working with main contractor McLaughlin & Harvey, Redler will supply a large quayside mobile hopper, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, belt and bucket elevators, bulk scale and filter.
These are in addition to the main feature of the project – the Redler bridge conveyor and shuttle system. The bridge system is used for the even distribution of the annual feed throughout the store.
