Kalmar
Kalmar has established its own subsidiary in India through the acquisition of 51% of Indlift, which has been the agent for Kalmar products in India since 2000.
High oil prices and international moves to support environmentally friendly product and services were key drivers in the creation of this cranes, according to the company.
Indlift employs 18 staff and has operations in Mumbai, Khandla, New Delhi, Vizag and Bangalore. The previous owner of Indlift, Vijay Kumar, will take up the position of md of Kalmar India. Kalmar has a strong presence in India with around 200 machines ranging from RTGs and reachstackers to terminal tractors and FLTs.
