Kalmar go-karting

Savi began developing the SaviTrak solution commercially in 2002 as a provider of networking technology to the Smart and Secure Tradelanes initiative, which included thousands of RFID-tagged container journeys from origins in Indonesia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany and South Africa. The system was further refined in several other global transportation security initiatives, including the STAR BEST programme conducted in cooperation with the Asia Pacific Economic Coalition (APEC), and with the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in a South Africa-to-Europe programme.

Port Strategy’s editor beat off fierce competition from determined Kalmar engineers and over-ambitious journalists to win the Kalmar go-karting competition held at Brands Hatch recently to coincide with the launch of its new i tractor.
