Lieberr first for Russia
Container terminal NUTEP (a joint venture of NCC and the Delo group) has signed a contract for the first Liebherr postpanamax crane in Russia.
The crane is scheduled for delivery to Novorossiysk next summer. Liebherr has also finalised a contract with HPC Ukraina, (a subsidiary company of HPC Hamburg Port Consulting) for the supply of two post-panamax cranes with a lift height under spreader of 34 metres and safe twinlift load of 50 tonnes.This is on top of a recent contract for the supply of three rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes to the Port of Gdansk, Poland at the Deepwater Container Terminal. The RTGs are of a 16 wheel configuration, stack one over four containers high and span seven containers plus a truck lane.
