Off road trials for gas machines
Gas-powered, versatile container hustler machines that are at home both on and off-road, are being tested by Total Terminals at Ports America facilities in Long Beach, California.
However, their ‘off-road’ capability has met with problems in the test set up, since CNG (compressed natural gas) need a fuelling station with special lines.
This limited running time to one shift. However, the issue was resolved by arranging access to a compressor for on-terminal usage.
