Resource management for the masses
Rotterdam-based software developer ARL Consulting has released a planning tool for marine terminals to keep track of multiple resources on shore and at sea.
As a desktop application, the ARL Terminal Resource Manager allows ports and terminals to keep track of resources assigned to arriving and departing vessels, such as tugs, cranes, barges, inspectors, maintenance teams, and stevedores. The terminal or port operator can generate a resource usage report summarising the use of resources forecasted over a period of time reflecting the ETA/ETDs of vessels in port.
