SARS steps out
US-based SARS has expanded itsinternational network of Automatic Identification System (AIS) sites with theaddition of five sites in Chileand three in Mexico.The companys network of AIS receivers delivers vessel traffic information forkey ports and waterways, such as the identification, position, course, and speedof vessels.
Smartspot is designed to optimise container handling between terminal tractors and ship-to-shore (STS)/rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, replacing manual positioning with an automatic system.
