Navsoft of Rio de Janeiro and Transas USA have teamed to provide an Automatic Identification System (AIS)-based marine surveillance and monitoring solution for the CVRD port of Ponta da Madeira, Sao Luis, Maranhao state.
High oil prices and international moves to support environmentally friendly product and services were key drivers in the creation of this cranes, according to the company.

The system consists of one AIS shore station and Transas Marine’s PC based Navi-Monitor software which can provide a combination of signals from multiple radar antennas and AIS shore stations by enabling additional software modules controlled by a license.
