YASIN
The 1,000m 3trailing suction hopper dredger YASIN was named and launched at IHC’ s Kinderdijk yard. The dredger is being built for Iran’ s Ports & Shipping Organization (PSO) for maintenance in Iran’ s Caspian Sea ports.
With a total quay length of 2,500 metres on which ultimately 26 ship-to-shore cranes are projected, the terminal will have a capacity of 3.5m TEUs on its completion.
The vessel has a nominal hopper capacity of 1,000m 3and a maximum loading capacity of 1,425 tons at a draught of four metres. She is equipped with one suction pipe and can reach a maximum dredging depth of 8 metres. The YASIN is also equipped with a self-supporting oil recovery installation that can be stored ashore thus reducing the influence of the additional equipment during dredging operations.
