Denmark to spend heavily on ports
The Danish government is making available a package of $36m to be spent on upgrading ports.
The West Coast port of Thyborøn has been allocated $4.5m to build a new breakwater and a further $5.5m for a new dry dock.
Hanstholm will get $5.4m to boost capacity, while Hvide Sande will get $5.3m for a new breakwater. Other money will go to Danish ports implementing noise-reduction projects.
