Gdynia slims down to boost competitiveness

First to go is subsidiary and gantry crane manufacturer Portowy Zakład Techniczny for which an initial public offering is planned for later this year.

Port of Gdynia is also looking to sell off some of its bigger subsidiaries, including bulk terminal Morski Terminal Masowy, which handles 25% of Poland’s bulk sea traffic, according to local sources.

However, local law restricts privatisation of these companies through a stock market listing.
