Gijón Port expansion progresses

A new docks outer perimeter and nearly 4,000 metres of sea wall have been completed at Gijó n Port.

Continuing expansion works at the port are now focused on laying the foundations for the future dock, pouring the filling materials and constructing the definitive crown wall.

The extension is expected to be completed in 2010, doubling the Port of Gijón’s current size and generating important business opportunities through the north of Spain.
