Liverpool boosts logistics capacity

Port of Liverpool owner Peel Ports has submittedplans for the construction of more than 400,000 sq ft of warehousing to boostthe ports logistics capacity.

Added to the 600,000 sq ft constructed in Phase One, when completed the Liverpool Intermodal Freeport Terminal will deliver approximately 1m sq ft of warehousing space.

This second phase of the development will consist of high bay, steel portal framed distribution units ranging from 70,000 sq ft to more than 200,000 sq ft. Two of the units will be directly linked by rail.
