Lower Tallinn calls hit profits
In Estonia, Tallinn’s port profits suffered last year as cargo volumes dropped 19%.
Profits were E33m in 2012, down from E43m in 2011. The largest investment of the year was the E50m acquisition of the icebreaker Botnica; a further E34m was paid out in dividends to the state.
The state-owned Port of Tallinn is made up of five harbours in Tallinn, Muuga, Paldiski, Paljassaare and Saaremaa.
