Online platform showcases Antwerp investment opportunities

The new platform promises to deliver a clear and complete overview of all commercial premises for rent or sale near the port, in addition to a list of sites up for concession.

Port authority property manager, Björn Verhoeven, said: “With the support of the port companies and estate agents we have managed, for the first time, to create an open, user-friendly platform where supply and demand can be matched to one another in an efficient, transparent way.”

Available in both Dutch and English, the launch of the platform coincides with the port’s 2014-2018 business plan, which identifies efficient use of space and infrastructure in the port as a key factor in boosting its competitive position.

“Creating a platform that centralises all the logistics real estate available in the port area contributes towards achieving this objective,” said Mr Verhoeven. “By showing what is on offer in a clear and accessible way, a more comprehensive picture of the real estate situation in the Port of Antwerp becomes available to a whole range of players.”
