Portuguese port growth outstrips Spains
Ports in Portugal have grown faster than those in Spain in spite of the recent economic crisis, according to Portuguese officials.
Traffic previously calling at Spanish ports has, in some cases, diverted to facilities in the neighbouring country, it is claimed.
However, Mário Lino the Portuguese Public Works Minister who made these claims did not release any comparative figures.
