Putting wind in Tilburys sails
The UKs Port of Tilbury is seeking toharness wind power in a bid to cut carbon emissions and power consumption. Ithas submitted a planning application to Thurrock Council for the development ofits own wind farm, initially for four wind turbines.
Due to commence trading in early 2012, Bremore Ireland Port (BIP) is situated between Dublin and the town of Drogheda, adjacent to the Dublin-Belfast rail line and the M1 Dublin-Belfast motorway.
