Sines goes ahead with expansion
Five consortia have reportedly bid for the contracts to expand the Terminal XXI container handling facility at the Portuguese port of Sines.
Teixeira Duarte/OFM proposed a ¢19.8m ($29m) bid, with work to be completed within 480 days.Seth/Irmãos Cavaco offered ¢21.5m ($31.5m) and a completion time of 540 days, while CPTP/Mota-Engil proposed a price of $18.1m ($26.5m) to be completed within 545 days, plus a variation that would see a price of ¢16.3m ($23.9m) paid for work to be undertaken in 125 days.
