TIS and Yuzhny find common ground
Andrii Kuzmenko, director of the TIS Container Terminal in the Ukraine, has cited the extraordinary efforts of both port staff and TIS employees as key to the resolution of the ongoing conflicts between the two parties.
This first step hinges on the development of the Port Rules Book, a document which effectively registers the berths at the port.
This registration has been a controversial issue – sparking much of the acrimony between the two parties and escalating to the denial of a Zen Hua ship to the port when it arrived with cranes destined for the new TIS container terminal operations.
“This is the first step on the way to a complex solution” said Mr Kuzmenko. Full commercial launch of the terminal is planned for the first half of 2010.
