Valencia plans €233m investment
The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has announced that it plans to invest more than €233m across three ports – Sagunto, Valencia and Gandia – over the next three years.
The port of Valencia will receive €35m of the total investment amount for new berths, port facilities and access roads.
Other improvements include dredging of the Principe Felipe and Levante docks, and better drainage at Principe Felipe, Levante and transverse wharves of Costa, among more.
Road and rail connections will also receive multi-million euro investments for remodelling.
APV’s actions will mean that the ports will be the first on the Mediterranean to be able to handle the new generation of 18,000 teu containerships.
