Chryssanthi Kontogiorgi
Chryssanthi Kontogiorgi has been working at Piraeus Port Authority SA since 2002. She holds the position of Environmental Officer and Safety Advisor for Management of Dangerous Cargos in port area.
She has been holding the position of the Head of the Environmental Protection Sector of PPA SA since 2008.
She is a Chemical Engineer (NTUA) with specialization on the Science & Technology of Materials (MSc, NTUA). She is also certified as Safety Advisor on Dangerous Cargos Transportation.
She holds more than 17 years experience on port environmental management and since 2004 is activated on Port Environmental Review System Certification (PERS) and Ecoports Network membership. She is member of the Sustainable Development Committee of ESPO and has participated in several EU Co-financed projects as group leader of the PPA coordination and in other environmental Projects on port environmental management.
Before joining PPA she had worked as consultant on Occupational Safety in Industrial Sector.
