DP World postpones London listing

Port operator DP World has clarified its position on its planned London listing to Port Strategy.

Previous reports that the dual listing had been cancelled were dismissed by DP World, which reiterated its earlier statement to Nasdaq Dubai stock exchange that its Board “remains committed to listing the Company’s shares on the London Stock Exchange”.

However, the Board has decided to postpone the listing process until an acceptable system that supports a dual listing in London is available.

“Given that this will take time, the next practical window of opportunity to seek admission for listing would be following the publication of Audited Financials for the year ending 31st December 2010,” the company said in its statement.

Port Strategy incorrectly reported that DP World was planning an initial public offering with a dual listing on both London and UAE exchanges, however DP World has been listed in Dubai since November 2007. Port Strategy apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
