Dubai gets turbocharged

From Drydocks World’s point of view, the move will give quick turbocharge service and offer a one stop shop turbocharger solutions to its customers. ABB will provide international factory warranties for all service jobs and there will be dedicated machines and engineers at a workstation in the shipyard facility.

Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World, said: “This is an initiative to support our long term business strategy and helps it to be more customer-focused, and high advanced technical services.”

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies was signed at the SMM trade fair in Hamburg last week. A formal service agreement will be signed next month.

The ABB turbocharging service point at Drydocks World Dubai will open for business on 1 January 2013.
