Flood of applicants for Ashdod stevedore jobs
The lure of excellent working conditions has led to applications from 3,000 jobseekers for just 45 stevedoring jobs at Israeli port of Ashdod.
However, of the 7,500 applications originally received, more than half came in the form of multiple applications from the same candidates, who were said to be worried by the perceived cronyism for which the port is known.
