Qatar to place contracts worth $7.4bn

Qatar is to place three contracts shortly as part of the $7.4bn development of a new port.

To date, $2.3bn has been allocated to 15 linked projects.

A further 17 contracts are due to be awarded later this year, with the port to be completed by 2016.
