Salalah expansion signs up tractors

Kalmar has been awarded a contract to supply 42 Ottawa 4×2 terminal tractors for the expansion of the Port of Salalah, located in the southern region of Oman.

The equipment will be delivered by the end of this year, assisting with the port’s major expansion project which is expected to be completed by the end of 2011, raising Salalah’s capacity to 9m teu per annum.

Kalmar’s Ottawa terminal tractors will service the quayside operation alongside post-Panamax gantry cranes.
