Chiles San Antonio port administrator Empresa Portuaria San Antonio (EPSA) will launch a tender in November to concession a $30m bulk handling terminal, chairman Patricio Arrau has said.

The initiative will double the port’s specialised capacity to handle dry bulk cargo, Mr Arrau added.

The tender is one of two the firm has in the pipeline. A second concession, the Costanera-Espigón terminal, is still being reviewed.

EPSA is looking to invite a third large port operator to the region to develop and operate this terminal, which will require an estimated $300m investment, according to Mr Arrau.
