Esmeraldas in the private sector
On 15 July Puerto Nuevo Milenium SA, a Colombian/ Ecuadorian consortium, took over management of Ecuadors Esmeraldas port for the next 25 years.
The Philadelphia Regional Port Authority (PRPA) is in the throes of swapping maritime land known as the Pier 98 Annex to the SYSCO Corporation, a domestic food distribution company.
Concessions are additionally planned for the leading maritime facility, Guayaquil, and for the ports of Manta and Puerto Bolivar.
