Kalmar Industries has won an order from the Port of Tacoma on the US West Coast for the supply of seven CSC 340 straddle carriers to be delivered in October for the Ports on-dock intermodal rail operations.

This, plus the general thirst for bigger and better handling equipment, led to orders for a total of nine Liebherr MHCs for Brazilian ports in 2007, a trend that proves Liebherr’s growing prowess in a market traditionally dominated by rival Gottwald.
