Latin America terminal meet

Uruguay is to play host to the first Latin American containerterminals meeting in November to promote information sharing andtransparency in the region.

Called by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Portvision and the main Latin American container terminals, the container terminals from Central and South America will meet in Montevideo November 26-27.

The organisers plan to discuss the “regional situation of the private activity” of the sector, sharing information, analysing common policies and encouraging commercial and operational improvements by defining regional standards.
