Major investment for Freeport
Freeport Container Terminal in the Bahamas is to undertake an upgrade programme costing $300m.
A total of $12m has already been spent on new yard stacking equipment and Noell is also supplying 15 straddle carriers at the cost of $15m.
Berths four and nine in Lucayan Harbour are being remodelled and work should be completed by 2010.
A dredging programme, already completed, cost $30m.
