New Chilean capacity not needed in the south

The Chilean region centred around the Bí o Bí o River does not require a new commercial port, according to Juan Manuel Gutié rrez, the managing director of Puerto Lirqué n.

With San Vicente planning expansions, Puerto Lirquén implementing new areas and a new quay planned at Coronel, Mr Gutiérrez believes that a new harbour at Talcahuano is unnecessary, critically since it does not have the water facilities.
