Paranagua upgrades quay
The port of Paranagua, Latin Americas largest dry bulk exporting facility and Brazils leading soya export gateway, has issued tenders for the repair and upgrading of its Muelle Comercial.
The Philadelphia Regional Port Authority (PRPA) is in the throes of swapping maritime land known as the Pier 98 Annex to the SYSCO Corporation, a domestic food distribution company.
The work, which will take place over the next 24 months, will cost $11.95m during its initial phase. Once work is complete, the quay will be able to accommodate larger cranes and also make use of rail-based shiploaders.
