PSA picks up Macquarie disposals

In October 2017, Halterm Container Terminal announced it would extend its container and reefer handling capabilities, with CAD$10m worth of new equipment over the next 12 months.

The developments are expected to support the terminal’s existing five ship-to-shore crane operation, providing congestion-free operations over more than a kilometre of quay, at three berths between 14-16m draft.

The port boasts an outer harbour 2km wide and 8km long. It is the only East Coast port capable of accommodating post-Panamax ships.
