Scanning partnership to improve security

Under the deal, VeriTainer’s cranemounted scanning device is coupled with APS Technology’s Crane OCR System, a combination that enables fast analysis of every container as it is loaded or unloaded from a ship, train or truck.

During standard loading and unloading of containers, each box is scanned for radiation while the APS OCR System captures images of the equipment numbers on each container and recognises the unit using specialised optical character recognition software. The results of both processes are then collected and transmitted wirelessly.
