Shared terminal on the Savannah
Plans to share ownership of the Jasper Ocean Terminal site were put up for approval at the end of July.
The port authorities in Georgia and South Carolina are set to approve the acquisition of around 1,500 acres of land each for the development on the Savannah River. The land transfer could close by 28 July.
It is hoped that a detailed proposal for consideration by both states will cover the financing and operation of the project, as well as other issues.
