Single operator for Coquimbo

This follows the ruling by the competition authorities that the privatisation process can proceed, although no firm timetable has yet been set for the port’s transfer to the private sector.

The concession will be for 30 years and include a major expansion to the south.

The formula adopted for the port concession is for a single operator to manage the entire port, however, major companies using the port may only have a maximum 40% stake in any future management company.
