Five in line for Botany concession
Five stevedoring groups have been invited to tender to operate Port Botanys third container terminal.
Sydney Ports Corporation has confirmed 13 operators expressed interest by the 1 September deadline.
No names were disclosed, however frontrunners are believed to include incumbents Patrick and DP World, and Hutchison Port Holdings, which has already established an operation at the Port of Brisbane. The selection will be known in mid-2009.
