Fremantle links commitment
The Western Australian government has pledged A$15.5m (US$16m) in funding to increase freight moving to and from Fremantle port by rail.
Transport minister Troy Buswell said the government had approved the continuation of the rail subsidy until 2016/17 because rail was playing a significant role in achieving greater efficiency while reducing truck traffic.
