A 177-hectare block of land adjacent to theMarsden Point port complex has been put on the market to attract complementary businesses.Northland Port Corporation also plans to lease back 60 hectares of the land for35 years.

The “systematic failures” identified by the MAIB in this instance included a failure to take into account restrictions on loading damaged containers, poor communication between all parties, and time-pressures threatening loading plan integrity.
