A sandbox for increased supply chain efficiency

The partners have launched a new scheme which aims to tackle pressing supply chain challenges by fostering collaboration between industry and academia called the PSA-NUS Supply Chain Living Lab.

“This partnership with NUS strengthens our vision to connect key logistics nodes and deliver supply chain efficiency worldwide.”

Optimising operations

The main aim of the lab is to advance sustainable and efficient supply chain innovation. Supported by PSA to the tune of S$10 million, it aims to develop solutions that enhance agility, resilience, and sustainability across global supply chains.

The Lab will also serve as a sandbox for industry stakeholders to co-develop community-focused solutions for optimising port logistics and operations.

NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye highlighted the project’s transformative potential: “This collaboration leverages the strengths of academia and industry to tackle complex supply chain issues, from data-driven logistics to sustainable practices, benefiting economies globally.”

The initiative is part of PSA’s broader strategic vision, including the PSA Supply Chain Hub (PSCH) within Singapore’s Tuas Port Ecosystem.

Scheduled for completion in 2027, the PSCH will integrate seamlessly into Singapore’s extensive supply chain network, creating increased connectivity and efficiency.
