Tuas Port handles 25 million teu

The achievement comes as Tuas Port continues its operational ramp-up and strengthens Singapore’s position as a critical gateway for resilient, reliable and efficient cargo flows. With global maritime trade facing shifting geopolitical dynamics and increasingly complex supply chains, the port is playing a growing role in supporting international connectivity.

“With global trade patterns becoming increasingly complex, robust coordination across ports and supply chain nodes has become more essential than ever,” said Ong Kim Pong, Group chief executive of PSA International.

He said Tuas Port’s integrated ecosystem is designed to futureproof supply chains by streamlining terminal and logistics services, allowing customers to move cargo with greater agility, resilience and confidence.

Tuas Port forms a key pillar of PSA Group’s Node to Network strategy, linking Singapore’s transhipment capabilities with the wider PSA global port ecosystem. The approach is intended to give customers greater flexibility, stronger connectivity and more efficient end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Nelson Quek, regional chief executive Southeast Asia, PSA International, said the milestone reflected the trust and collaboration of customers, partners and unions, as well as the dedication of PSA employees. He added that colleagues had demonstrated perseverance in navigating challenges and capturing new opportunities.

Tuas Port currently has 14 operational berths and is on track to reach 18 by 2027. PSA is also advancing sustainable and smart technologies aimed at improving operational, service and environmental performance.
