Denmark: State of Green

State of Green is working in cooperation with the Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) and its Blue Denmark campaign, one of the goals of which is to promote Danish green maritime solutions.

Both parties will focus on a variety of green maritime solutions and technologies, as well as the manufacture of marine equipment. State of Green’s website will also feature the profiles of green companies, organisations and knowledge institutions.

“Denmark is an attractive country from which to do maritime business, with a strong and open maritime cluster. We hope that all players would like to use the material when they meet foreign stakeholders and companies”, said Andreas Nordseth, director general of the Danish Maritime Authority.

State of Green is a public-private partnership founded by the Danish Government, the Confederation of Danish Industry, the Danish Energy Association, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the Danish Wind Industry Association. It covers all sectors, but also helps to bring together Denmark’s maritime cluster within the shipping, offshore and maritime technology markets.

As a nation, Denmark has become well-known internationally in the green maritime field and the DMA said that it intends to become even better in the future by way of its relationship with State of Green.
