Green award for load monitoring expert

Part of the reason why Dynamic Load Monitoring (DLM) won The Daily Echo’s Sustainable Business of the Year award was for its new office space which showcases the latest in sustainable equipment including LED lights, motion censored lighting and eco-friendly air conditioning.

Jeff Halford, director, DLM, said: “We also enlisted the help of Sustrans, national sustainability charity to promote cycling to work which helped us to support the staff who wanted to cycle. We now have over half the staff cycling to work on a daily basis.”

The awards aim to reward the best in local business and recognise the achievements of companies and individuals across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in the UK.

For the Sustainable Business of the Year award, the sponsor Meacher’s Global Logistics was looking for a company which achieved a sustainable business growth model, embraced sustainability and demonstrated how customers have engaged with the sustainability policy.

DLM is a specialist in the design, manufacture, repair and calibration of load cells and load monitoring equipment.

Among its product portfolio is a container load monitoring system which can be mounted into port terminal vehicles.

It has also developed and designed and manufactured several silo monitoring systems using its market leading silo load cells.

A load cell is a transducer which converts force into a measurable electrical output.
