Low energy usage electric container handler

The 43t ECH Electric will be introduced in the third quarter of 2020 and is due to go into serial production in Q4 2020, said the China-based company at TOC Europe.

ECH Electric uses Li-ion LiFePo4batteries with a capacity of 331.7kwh. Users can utilise a one-hour or automatic fast charging options and its working time of 10 hours means it can achieve two shifts per day.

The zero-emission machine is engineered to be operationally economical with low noise levels and easy maintenance.

It has already been tested in a logistics hub in Xiamen, China.

Material handler

Sany is also developing a material handler with the ability to load 15 trucks per hour and a maximum loading and unloading production rate of 520t per hour.

The diesel Stage V version of the material handler will be available mid 2020 for serial production and the electric version will be available in the third quarter of 2020.

Hybrid reachstacker

Speaking about its hybrid H9 reachstacker at TOC, the company said it offers 15% machine cost savings per handled container.

Already commercially available, the reachstacker’s energy recovery system means that energy recovery is achieved while the boom is lowered.

The energy created in the lowering action is captured in hydropneumatic accumulators and up to 70kW of additional power is generated from the accumulators.
