San Diegos Board of Port Commissioners has approved a series of projects costing $US500k to help develop non-toxic alternatives to copper-based hull paints.
The Port has also started a 280 acre environmental project in South San Diego Bay. It is it’s largest to date and will result in improved fish and wildlife habitat.
