Quietening down equipment
LASE isnt just looking to make port equipment safer, it also wants to reduce noise emissions at the quayside.
Together with Hans Kunz GmbH, LASE has recently implemented a new application for two crane systems at the Intermodal Terminal WienCont in Austria.
LaseLCPS-2D (Load Collision Prevention System) allows containers to be picked up safely and noise reduced without any collision, as well as dropped softly.
The Intermodal Terminal in Vienna (Austria) is one of most important hubs for the national and international flow of goods.
Primarily the customer WienCont put a high emphasis on the Soft Landing function at this crane driver assistance system.
This function is being activated while hoisting the load and ensures container drops without any wear as well as with explicitly reduced noise emission
With the Intermodal Terminals mostly situated in the proximity of residential areas, low pollution is important for a good neighbourliness.
The measurement system LaseLCPS-2D can prevent collisions, if the hoist drives over the container stacking area.
Next to the applied 2D version the application software LaseLCPS is also available as a 3D version which can ensure safe and gentle handling of the materials for RMG-, RTG- and STS-Cranes in the worldwide biggest container ports reliably.
