Smart port application targets emissions
A smart port web application will allow users to collaborate on digital maritime logistics for improved efficiency and reduced emissions.
Awake.AI’s Smart Port as a Service, part of the Awake Platform, allows users to interact and collaborate with other actors in real-time to better plan sustainable operations.
It is designed to enable transparent and fast status sharing of port operations; near future port call forecasts; and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) prediction accuracy. The service ultimately aims to help cut emissions, improve overall efficiency and reduce the cost of transport and port calls.
” The service and platform will enable improved efficiency, sustainability, competitiveness, and lower costs for all port actors, including port authorities, terminal operators, cargo owners and many more,” said Awake.AI.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) methods are an integral part of the Awake Platform.
These are implemented in a modern cloud framework. This means Awake.AI can effectively combine all data sources and provide relevant information from organisations’ internal information systems to open sources.
The Awake Platform is embedded with Smart Messaging capability, allowing comprehensive context (user role, time, location) aware information sharing between port call actors.
It also has sea and land maps featuring wind, waves and rain activity, which are needed to understand when certain operations, e.g. loading & unloading, can occur.
Additionally, it includes cloud security, access management, security auditing and operational capability.
