AI safety at Busan T5

A reduction in collision risks between equipment and terminal staff during operations will occur by strengthening preventive safety management through continuously monitoring operational risks in real time and facilitating intervention before incidents occur. Data from mobile equipment, workers and traffic flows are consolidated into a single monitoring environment, enabling early detection of potential hazards and immediate alerts via control room dashboards.

The new CyberLogitec platform integrates AI-based video analytics, high-precision positioning technology and digital twin capabilities to provide real-time situational awareness. The system uses RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) positioning to track mobile equipment with precise accuracy to assess potential risk threats. If a hazardous situation is detected, warnings are automatically sent to operators through vehicle mounted terminals.

RTK devices are being installed on 70 mobile assets, with 28 AI-enabled CCTV cameras to be deployed on 14 STS cranes. The full implementation of the project is scheduled for August 2026.
