Shanghai free port in digital push

Shanghai FTZ will use CHAMP Cargosystem’s Traxon Premium Tracking to manage a shipment end-to-end, replacing its antiquated system of physical documents.

“In the past few years, we have seen the true benefits of digitalising transactional processes such as tracking shipments and associate capital flows deliver more efficiency, speed, and security in the exchange of data,” said Sumesh Patel, SITA president for Asia Pacific, which owns CHAMP Cargosystems.

The new system automatically files and verifies air waybills and transactions to the relevant authorities, helping ensure quality governance and compliance as well as speeding up transactions.

“We are thrilled to support Shanghai Waigaoqiao in its effort in automating its shipment checking process,” said Nicholas Xenocostas, chief commercial officer at CHAMP Cargosystems. “This will help save time accessing shipment records and capital flow transactions.”
